Lets walk you through my raya here....I must admit, though it ain't as exciting as back in Singapore, I had to make the best of what I had right? I shall give this year a 7/10. At least I learnt independence and cooking and hosting and friendship! See so much learnt...

The day before raya. The indian girls came over with their saris from the temple. No point missing the opportunity to take traditional photos with them.. Multi cultural society mah..

Then woke up at 9am next day to get ready to cook for the open house on 14th October '07 at the University Of Adelaide Village Apartment 79.

The 1st dish prepared by yours truly. Bubur Rock Melon. Yum2!

I was still bathing when the 1st group of people came over. Shikin(Singaporean) and Zairina(Malaysian). So malu leh. Was not even ready. They only got to taste my dessert. Haix. But I was invited to shikin house. And I heard her husband is a good cook! Weee!!! I want lah can!

After which the next 2 groups came. Malaysian friends whom I met through pipi. Do you know they have never eaten bubur honey dew b4? They loved mine lah seh! Nice people. These are the ones that I spent the last day of ramadhan with. I heart you guys!

And as they left.. stomach started rumbling.. I had to eat!

So in we stuffed ourselves. We had rice, curry chicken, mi goreng, keropok, jelly gula melaka, green curry vege and tempeh goreng. Oh yea oh yea!

Kumari feeling verrryyyy Hungreh!! See no smiling at all! ahaks.. You know I love you right girl. ahaks..

Then suddenly received a call from Azman. He was already downstairs. Lucky we finished eating. So I went down to pick him and his brother up to my apartment. And they brought kuah lodeh, sambal goreng and serondeng! Weeeee!!! thank you so much you 2! It was good enough that we got to taste your cookings. burp!!!

I like this photos. There are china people, indian, malaysian, singaporeans! Fun fun fun!

Then at night, suddenly had a call for jemput2. Yes I know how to make them! How cool is that!? But thanks to these things up there, I got myself scarred for life! Well I hope not lah but my oh-so-beautiful arm now has this ugly looking birthmark that was never supposed to be there. It doesn't help that I am fair. Boo Hoo..

Oh well, all in all , it was a perfect day. Tired host but perfect day. Could not have done it without the help of these 2 tho. Thank You sooo mUch muchos!!

21st, 24th, 28th brings more Eid Mubarak Festivities. One of them will be with uncle tomok again. Did I mention his house is damn NICE! Overlooking the freaking sea! Sunset is WONDERFUL!! I want lah!! He has just inspired me to migrate to Australia. Thanks for making the final decision for me.!!!
