Korea.....

An Nyong Ha Say Yo....

Wheee.... It started with a doa selamat for my 2 lovely parents at my grandma's house followed by kak Nur's engagement. It was havoc and chaotic with my cousins and me running around to do the dishes and lay them out. The uncles and aunties sorry to say were real pest in the kitchen. The only thing they helped us with was taking up the whole only small available space. So then after the whole ceremony, though there was still alot of things to be done and do, I left as I was already late for my korea trip flight. So I left at 6pm from my grandma's house and made my way to the airport Terminal 1 at counter 3. I was the second to reach. There I found out that there were 16 of us altogether and 5 were malays.

It was like all the clicks chatting here and there at first since no one knew anyone there. So we checked in our bags while mummy and daddy waited for me at the seat. After checkin in the bags, we ate at starbucks b4 entering at 815pm. At the holding area, I started making new friends. Wei Jian, Caleen and Ming Wei who are cousins and from TP too. It was like me and firah were sitting, talking when suddenly wei jian called our names. We found out he saw our names from the name list. I swear Wei Jian looks like Kelvin , you know the blind singer who won superstar... ( I will show you the pics when I upload it and you will so agree). So we got in the plane at around 945pm and I had Kelvin(NUS) and Farhan(SP) as my sitting partners. We had a good ride, talked and got to know each other better. We stopped at Bangkok and took another plane to Korea and my sitting partners became Kelvin and Putra(SMU). Upon reaching Korea, we saw the whole runway covered in white. It was SNOW!!!!

Reached at about 8am Korea time and met our translaters, Su and San Ju. The moment we stepped out of Korea airport, we froze. We exhaled "smoke" and everyone had a brain breakdown for awhile. Quickly went up the bus which used heaters instead of aircon and headed to Daemyung Resort; Vivaldi Park. Took our snowboarding equipments and headed for our room, 902. Ate our lunch and headed to the slopes for our first lesson. Our instructor Gi-Sung was one cute Korean guy. Its funny when he tries to speak english. We tried the smallest slope first. Went up the gondola and after being taught how to slide down, all of us tried. Each and everyone of us fell down everytime we stood up but Gi-Sung said its natural and the more bruises we have, the better. So we all went for our dinner sore and tired that day. After a hot bath, all the girls went to the boys room to play silent heart attack until 1am. We then had to sleep on the mattress. booo.....

The next day, we got up early for our 2nd lesson of snow boarding after breakfast. We got 'promoted' to a longer slope and there, learnt how to do a "heel edge". It was irritatingly hard at first but I got the hang of it and I became quite a pro for a beginner. I did fall alot of times at first though and decided to sit down and rest. Gi-Sung saw me sitting alone and came to me telling me to practise. I showed him my sore hands and he laughed. Bluek.....Snow board for 2 hours and then went for lunch. After which we snowboard for another 2 hours. As we took the gondola to reach the top of the hill, the wind blew and you can actually feel how an ice would feel. It was -5 degrees and the wind is still blowing! I was getting better at every try down the slope and I even got a praise from Gi-Sung. He said " very good" and showed me the thumb sign. All I did was smile.... I was even able to stop at the exact place the instructor was. Hoo yah for me...That night, the girls spent another night of silent heart attack at the boys room and after which went for supper. We slept at 2 am.

It was Wednesday and the last day we will be seeing Gi-Sung before we got a new instructor as he had to take over a new class. Most of us were sad to see him leave as we grew attached to him already. We took pictures with him and promised to send him our photos. We slide down the slope 2 times with him before we seperated for lunch. The last words he said to us was, " He loves us! " How sweet..... Then in the afternoon, the new instructor came. All of us felt bored of him as he was going over the same things we already learnt with Gi-Sung. All of us complained. Thank god he listened to us and taught us a new technique. Which was the "toe edge". Now this was farking Hard... I could not do it and I gave up after falling so many times. My knee became bruised and turned blue black. In the end, he gave up on us too and told us to just practise ourselves and we went down the slope front ways. That wednesday, we had night snowboarding too and it was more freezing then the other days. After snowboarding, we went up the cable car and went up to the highest hill for sightseeing. It was beautiful! Took pictures and then went back down. We then went home that day and learnt friendship dance for our cultural night show on friday. Wei Jian partnered me and we danced. That night we slept early.

Had our last lesson that thursday morning before we had to check out and meet our homestay family's. Became closer to our new instructor and he taught us new word. "Chi Ga Ra". When we asked what it meant, he said 'Bye bye'. Later we found out it was actually 'Get Lost!'. After I found out, I always disturbed him, telling him to get lost. And he did the same to me. I had to snowboard down first but I couldn't cause I was not the first one to go. Then he held my hand, pulled me up and said "Chi Ga Ra". When I squinted at him, he laughed. Booo......That day Wei Jian then asked me, do malay girls accept chinese guys or Korean guys or like other races?? wonder why.......

So then I met my homestay family that evening. My buddy's name was "Bin Sok". A shy guy who unfortunately was very boring like hell. Luckily I had my own room in the house. So upon reaching the house, I unpacked and then started playing computer games with him. After which, we went out for dinner together with his mom, aunt and his mom's friend. They eat alot of KIMCHI's there and since I did not favour that type of food, I did not eat much and the mother complained, telling me to eat as I was too thin. Haha sorry 'mom'! We then went home and after the father came home, we went up to a hill for night view. Unfortunately, it was very foggy and so we did not get to see much. Slept soundly and comfortably that day on the BED. Argh heavens...

Woke up early next day to visit Nami Island. It is a shooting place for the Korean drama, "Winter Sonata". It was boring lah.. but I got to admit the surrounding is gorgeous. We then headed for lunch and finally, the food was to my liking. Got on the bus and headed to our buddy's school. It looked exactly like how the US school looks like. Found out that their school hours are from 7am to 10 pm. Do they have a life?? So we did some activities and our friendship dance. We then each went home after photo taking to meet our home stay family for the last time. Exchanged gifts and then we did some shopping. Me, Kelvin, Yong Jia, Lawrence & Kok Yin together with our buddies went shopping together. It was alright, and we took pictures on the streets. My buddy and I went home as we had to wake up at 4am the next day for my flight.

It was early in the morning and the father sent us to the bus. It was cold and foggy and as all of us said goodbye's to our Korean friends, we all felt a tinge of sadness as we left them. But all good things must come to an end and we headed for the Incheon Airport. Checked our bag in and had a cup of coffee. My seat partner's was Kelvin and Putra and we slept the whole way. Stopped again at Bangkok and shopped abit. Got into our last flight to Singapore and I got Putra, Kelvin and Farhan together with me. It was a FUN ride the last one. Had alot of laughs. We even began to talk like Koreans....Learnt how to play Tai Tee. Exchanged email addresses.. Then we all parted....I will miss all of them...

So mummy and daddy just left for Haj today at 11am just now. Alot of my relatives came and I cried as my parents left. I seldom cry but I guessed I missed them so much as I just came home yesterday and they left today. Hope they come home safely. Pray from them please people...

Lots of love....

FREEDOM....

Term test has just ended at 430 pm today and I am so utterly relieved. Part of me hoped that the test came out all the theory's of the operation for the hard systems so that exam, it will not come out. Unfortunately or fortunately, it came out the though not easy, still the easier ones. Now for exams I will have to memorise them again. Booo...

The papers turned out to be quite a do-able paper. Made a lot of careless mistakes for the 1st paper but subsequently for the 2nd and 3rd paper, I am quite happy with my work. Sleeping in the wee hours of the morning certainly paid off.

Now I will have to get ready and pack up all my stuff for Korea. It will be cold and white there. Have to borrow the jumpsuits and turtlenecks from all the people who has it. DO you have any to lend me??*winks* I don't wana buy ah.. Once only I will experience snow leh..

none...

It rained the whole day.....Was sure I was gona attend lecture today at 12pm but as it turned out, as I woke up, it was raining heavily. The bed became haven and I decided to just skip it and promised myself to attend tomorrow's lecture. I tihink I missed alot today though.. The lecturer did warn us to come as it is important for exams but I guess my body thought otherwise..

Term test is just next week. In two days, I will be free of it and start with the holidays! Woohoo... With more than 2 weeks of holidays, and a week spent in Korea with the snow and the ski-ing... think of how much fun I will be having this term break. But before I look forward to the holidays, god help me with my term tests. I have not studied well enough and I need to do well this semester. I want to!!

So I have been wanting to exercise. You know keep my trim figure. My weight has been increasing and decreasing and I wana just keep it to 48kg. Unfortunately, I have no one to accompany me and nothing to motivate me to wake up early in the morning to have my morning run. I am so gona grow sideways soon.. HELP!!!

How do you reject a guy face to face?
How do you say I don't like you with a straight face?
